The first bottle of AFROHEAD Rum was simply labeled with a stylized image of a Bahamian woman that was designed to pay tribute to the island’s culture and the first Miss Bahamas 1963. Locals and visitors to Harbour Island, Bahamas – or Briland as referred to by its inhabitants – where the rum was first blended in 2007, would call for the rum with the ‘afrohead’ on it and so, AFROHEAD Rum was born.Today, AFROHEAD Rum’s stunning icon continues to pay tribute to its origins while celebrating all the influences that inspired the world’s best tasting premium aged dark rum.The character of AFROHEAD’s Briland 07 is that of a 7-year-old rum blended to deliver a silky smooth flavor of burnt toffee with baking spices and notes of toasty oak and honey.At the heart of AFROHEAD’s XO is a blend of 15-year-old rums that inspire this drier, complex expression which begins creamy with tobacco notes and hints of vanilla then finishes extra long and elegantly smooth.
