Digital Thread Deep Dive

Beyond the buzzword. Into the work. MxD is hosting a focused, half-day virtual working session on digital thread.

Digital thread is one of the most critical and least-understood capabilities in modern manufacturing. This event is designed to move manufacturers from awareness to action: what digital thread actually is, what real implementation looks like across legacy systems, and what it takes to connect design, production, and service data across the product lifecycle.Presented in partnership with Belcan and RTX, this isn't a passive sit-and-listen webinar. Attendees come ready to contribute and leave with something tangible.

What to ExpectThis event will feature a mix of expert presentations and interactive discussion designed to help participants explore current challenges, practical approaches, and readiness considerations related to digital thread, MBE, and model-based definition.RTX will open the program with insights on MB-DMI collaboration in the supply chain, including their vision for supplier engagement, key lessons learned, and what it takes to move from pilot activity to broader execution.Belcan will follow with a session focused on modernizing product definition for MBD consumption, offering a practical view of how organizations can move from traditional 2D drawings toward machine-readable model-based definitions. After a brief break, participants will join a facilitated workshop centered on digital thread readiness, designed to surface current gaps, opportunities, and next steps.The program will conclude with a group share-out, discussion, and wrap-up to capture key insights and close the session.
