About this event

Breakfast Seminar:

On September 6th, TrusTrace and GS1 are hosting a breakfast seminar to share learnings from the Vinnova financed Trace4Value Digital Product Passport (DPP) pilot in Textiles, and to celebrate the launch of the data protocol.

During the in-person event at GS1 Sweden Concept Centre in Stockholm, we will be presenting the Trace4Value pilot project and have a panel discussion to share the challenges, opportunities, and learnings from conducting a real-life DPP pilot before all standards and legislations are in place. The panel features Trace4Value project partners GS1 Sweden, Swedish Institute of Standards, Kappahl, TrusTrace and Circularista. There will also be time to meet industry peers and other experts working on textile data and related initiatives.

Background:

The EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles calls for DPPs to be mandatory on textiles sold in Europe by 2030. The goal of the DPP is to encourage sustainable production, enable the transition to a circular economy, and help consumers make more sustainable choices. However, several questions remain unanswered including, "how will we create an interoperable DPP system in practice that shows the right data?" This is exactly what this pilot aims to answer.

This event celebrates the launch of the data protocol and all attendees will get an exclusive view of the results to date ahead of a press release that goes out later on the same day.

Agenda:

8:00-8:30 Breakfast is served

8:30-8:45 Presentation about the project and data protocol

8:45-9:00 Panel discussion

9:00-9:30 questions and networking

Location:

GS1 Sweden Concept Centre, Västra Järnvägsgatan 15, Stockholm.

Nearest stations are Stockholm Centralstation and Cityterminalen.
