Advanced Classroom Technologies is thrilled to host the Digital Equity & Inclusion Summit on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Lynnwood Event Center. This all-day event will bring together 200+ educators and school leaders from 98 Washington School Districts and their ESDs. It is a day to collaborate and engage on topics of Universal Design for Learning, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Digital Equity. The Summit hopes to achieve stronger partnerships; allowing district leaders in Academics, Special Education, and Technology to strategize how to best utilize ESSER funds to make sustainable impacts on student learning.
- Explore the work of other districts and how they create high-quality, technology-rich learning environments for students of all abilities and cultures
- Learn new strategies for engaging students through inclusionary practices and UDL
- Experience adaptive technologies that allow for greater independence for our students with physical, sensory or mental disabilities
- Share ideas, collaborate with colleagues, and learn from local, state and national experts
- Speak with company representatives and hear what works in the digital classroom
Our presenters are people actively engaged in digital equity work, making a difference in their schools and communities. Breakout sessions and workshops are geared toward conversation, hands-on activity, and collaborative work in district teams. They will share with you how they've created more inclusive classrooms as a result of their awards. Learn how they are working with teachers, providing training and professional development to engage learners through best-practice and emerging best-practices. Expect to hear how mobile devices, assistive technologies, and classroom presentation tools are making a difference for students with unique abilities.
The event is made possible through the support of generous sponsors who create the tools that ensure digital classrooms are inclusive classrooms. It is highly recommended that districts attend as a team with representatives from School Board, Superintendents, Academics, Special Education, and Technology.
