This 1 hour webinar provides healthcare professionals with an essential introduction to the growing risk of technology-facilitated abuse (TFA). Designed specifically for those working in healthcare, the session will explore how TFA can present in clinicals settings, including misuse of everyday technology, assistive technology and the NHS app. Delivered by Refuge's specialist Technology Facilitated Abuse and Economic Empowerment team, this webinar will highlight the intersecting barriers faced by survivors from global majority backgrounds and survivors with disabilities. These insights will deepen clinicians understanding of how technology facilitated abuse impacts survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

Who is the training suitable for?

This training is suitable for anyone working directly with children or survivors of abuse. Prior understanding of domestic abuse is required.

How can I register?

Please make all bookings via Eventbrite. You cannot access the session without a ticket. This session is only open to professional so please ensure you book with your professional email address. All registrations with personal email will be rejected.

What will the training include?

This training will reference domestic abuse and technology facilitated abuse. Please consider if this is conducive to your own wellbeing before registering to attend. The session will run for 1 hour.

When should I arrive for the training?

Please arrive 5 minutes early to the session to allow for prompt start. Any attendee's who arrive after 10.10am will not be admitted to prevent disruption.

Why are there different ticket costs?

This event is free for healthcare professionals to improve accessibility to training. Non healthcare professionals are welcome to purchase a paid ticket to attend.
