Event description

Description

During this workshop, middle school students will get a company overview, engage in a job readiness discussion, take a facility tour, and participate in a simulation game called Digging for Knowledge. As part of the simulation students will be tasked to utilize STEM skills to solve a production problem. This fun exercise introduces people to STEM applications in the workplace as well as emphasizing the importance of soft skills such as collaboration, team building and communication.

Caterpillar is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives. Caterpillar is a leader and proudly has the largest global presence in the industries they serve.

This workshop is designed specifically for middle school students.
