Welcome to the Wilderness Matching Event 2025!
Are you ready to explore the great outdoors and meet like-minded individuals who share your love for adventure? We invite licensed families and waiting youth to join us at the Diakon Wilderness Center in Boiling Springs, PA. Join us for a day filled with interactive activities such as low ropes courses and communicating with nature. This is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow nature enthusiasts and for families and youth to make connections. Don't miss out on this chance to create unforgettable memories in the wilderness. This event will take place outside, make sure to wear comfortable clothing, and sneakers or walking shoes!
This matching event is best for waiting youth ages 12 and up and families open to this age group. We will focus on the youth and families present and will not have agency display tables. Due to the nature of the event, we are unable to extend registration to biological or adopted children.
The fun begins when you arrive! We have many exciting ways for families and youth to learn more about each other: icebreakers, team-building activities, low ropes courses, and OF COURSE delicious snacks and lunch will be provided!
Please note that you will be contacted upon registration with a release that must be signed to participate in the ropes course and a request to send your child or family flyer. These will be provided at the end of the event to families and child workers.
Registration opens on 4/14/25 and closes on 5/26/25.
