Diabetes Management and Meal Planning

Tennova Healthcare – Harton offers a FREE class designed for adults with newly diagnosed diabetes and for people needing a refresher course in Diabetes Management. This is a basic diabetes program therefore no physician referral is required. The program content follows the American Diabetes Association guidelines and uses a variety of teaching methods to enhance learning.

The class will be taught by Angie Sowers, MS, RD, LDN, Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Tennova Healthcare – Harton.

The class will be held the fourth Wednesday monthly from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the Private Dining Room of the hospital. The Private Dining Room is located on the Ground Floor through the Main Entrance located at the rear of the hospital.

Registration is not required but is helpful and can be completed at Tennova.com under the Events tab. For more information or with any questions, please call 931-393-7899.
