Plus, connect with other local business owners and build relationships while you’re there.Small business owners will need to bring the following documents saved on either a USB or Laptop for the event to get certified (No iPads and cellphones as they are usually too small for the process):Business &amp; Tax Documents<ul><li>IRS EIN letter</li><li>Federal tax returns (last 3 years or business lifespan if shorter)</li><li>Sole proprietorships: personal federal tax returns (last 3 years)</li></ul>Personal &amp; Veteran Information<ul><li>Disabled Veteran resume</li><li>VA Benefit Summary Letter (minimum 10% service-connected disability, dated within 1 year)</li></ul>Licenses &amp; Permits<ul><li>City or county business license</li><li>Other applicable licenses or permits (e.g., CSLB license, seller’s permit)</li></ul>Ownership &amp; Management<ul><li>Signed statement explaining how the disabled veteran manages and controls the business if working more than 30 hours per week or managing another business</li><li>Trust agreement and amendments (if applicable)</li></ul>Equipment (if applicable)<ul><li>Equipment list, bills of sale, titles, and registrations</li></ul>Legal Entity DocumentsSole Proprietorship<ul><li>Fictitious Business Name Statement (if applicable)</li></ul>Partnership<ul><li>Partnership agreement and amendments</li><li>Fictitious Business Name Statement (if applicable)</li><li>Most recent personal federal tax return for each partner</li></ul>Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)<ul><li>LLP registration with the Secretary of State</li></ul>Limited Liability Company (LLC)<ul><li>Articles of Organization</li><li>Statement of Information</li><li>Operating Agreement and amendments</li><li>LLC must be wholly owned by qualified disabled veteran(s)</li></ul>Corporation<ul><li>Articles of Incorporation</li><li>Statement of Information</li><li>Corporate Bylaws and amendments</li><li>Most recent meeting minutes showing election of officers and directors</li><li>Stock Transfer Ledger and stock certificates</li></ul>
