Join other students who are passionate about technology for a hackathon. You'll help local non-profits, gain skills and make new friends!

About this event

Do you want to grow your technical skills while also helping non-profits in Iowa? Join us at the Devs Do Good hackathon.

No matter your skill level, you're welcome at Devs Do Good. Our mission is to connect students who have a passion for technology with local non-profits needing technical support.

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is an event where computer programmers of all skills levels and backgrounds work collaboratively on a software project.

How will the Devs Do Good hackathon work?

The hackathon will start with a non-profit sharing how Devs Do Good can help them with their technical needs. Maybe they need a new website, changes to an existing site or a manual process automated. Then you along with a small group of students and a technical mentor will spend the next 8 hours working on the project. At the end of the day your team will share what you created and celebrate your success! And the best part is the non-profit can get back to their mission of helping our community and they'll have brand new tech to show off. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided during the hackathon.
