Chance will discuss how One Beale and upcoming projects (with over $500 million in the pipeline) will shape the future of Memphis. ERNEST STRICKLANDPresident and CEO of Black Chamber of MemphisErnest D. Strickland is an accomplished professional, currently serving as the President &amp; CEO of the newly rebranded organization, Black Chamber of Memphis (BCOM). Strickland successfully led the rebranding of the organization formerly known as the Black Business Association of Memphis. His impressive career includes a 15-year tenure at the Greater Memphis Chamber, where he held key roles such as Senior Vice President of Workforce and Vice President of International Business. Notably, he spearheaded Upskill 901, a community-wide initiative aiming to upskill 10,000 individuals over three years as well as Memphis Restart, an effort to build wealth in the black community in Memphis. STEPHEN TOWNSENDAIA | NCARB of UrbanARCH AssociatesStephen Townsend is a licensed architect and Senior Project Manager with UrbanARCH Associates who relishes opportunities to solve complex problems. For thirteen years he has worked on a variety of project sizes and types with the most recent and largest being the current Memphis International Airport Terminal Modernization and Seismic Program. Stephen is a native Shelby Countian and is grateful to be a small part of such a large undertaking for the airport, city, region, and beyond.
