In this session we will discuss moving beyond a green building approach of “doing less harm” and create opportunities to integrate resources that revitalize the material supply chains they are a part of.Guest speakers include: <ul><li>Massey Burke, Co-Director of the <a href="https://strawbuilding.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">California Straw Building Association (CASBA)</a> brings her expertise on the value of local, natural building materials, supply chains, and ancient building techniques. </li><li>David Mar, Owner of <a href="https://www.marstructuraldesign.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mar Structural Design</a> offers a unique structural engineering perspective that blends creativity with technical analysis. He will share how he thinks about testing and measuring materiality, and increasing building resilience for extreme weather patterns and natural disasters.</li><li>Cash East of <a href="https://higg.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Higg Co.</a> knows data. He is working on capturing in real time the cradle-to-gate environmental impact of materials.
