Develop your artistic voice with collage and photomontage artist Annette.

<p>Join VAWAA Artist and collage and photomontage artist Annette for a session on how to develop your artistic voice. On Saturday, April 25, at 11:30 AM EDT (UTC-4), we'll be learning about what an artistic voice is and practicing techniques to find it through self-reflective thinking, journaling, and visualization. Then, we'll discuss how to find an issue of personal interest to make a collage, drawing, painting, poem or song; each participant will work on their own project and we'll reconnect a week later, on Friday, May 1 at 12:00 PM EDT, to share creations, learnings, and feedback. Limited to 20 participants.</p><h3>What you'll need</h3><p>All you'll need is a pen and paper/notebook. </p><h3>How to join</h3><p>We'll be hosting this VAWAA Online on Zoom. We'll send you the link and details to join via email a few hours before it begins.</p><h3>About Annette</h3><p>Annette is a collage and photomontage artist based in Athens beautiful countryside. Trained in prestigious art schools in United States, France, Austria and Greece, she has been focusing on collage, photomontage and mixed media for three decades. Led by a passion for theatre and the human soul, her photo montages look like "film stills" of human relationships and made with scissors, glue, found photographs or photographs taken by her. She creates collage portraits that are deconstructions of familiar everyday faces, to shed light into the sinews of their being. She strives to merge fantasy and reality in each composition that lead us to the dreamland of human emotions.
