Dreams is an extraordinary, ever-expanding game universe from the award-winning Media Molecule, creators of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway, where you can discover community-made games from around the world…and learn to make your own.Claire is a queer geeky Creative Programmer with a passion for learning and general insanity from London UK. She works at Media Molecule as part of Sony. Claire also serves as director and creative at Flammable Penguins Publishing making comics and telling stories. When not programming, playing games, roleplaying, learning, or reading.She started in the industry as a programmer, moved into design then bounced back between the two. Spending her days consulting various Playstation projects on online design and technical points. She has shipped several titles across eight platforms. Claire has also worked on R&amp;D projects, pitches, consulting and developing a reputation as that crazy &quot;left field&quot; chick who codes.The next speaker joining us on our quest will be...Lu Aye Oo: Client Developer at Space Ape GamesTalk Title: Less Code, More Rock: Validation via logic separation and code conversionBefore Space Ape Games, Lu was working for Playfish, building Sims Social, on Facebook, the largest platform at the time. As the smart-phone revolution exploded, Lu became a founding employee of the mobile-first studio Space Ape Games, laying the technical foundations for the live-ops centred company, building the cross-game content managment system, network communications stack and code architecture that Space Ape use across all games.Also, as a strong creative contributor, Lu has started several prototypes which have gone on to become full on development games.You will also hear from…Jon McKellan: Creative Director / Writer / Founder of <a href="http://www.nocodestudio.com/about" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">No Code Studio</a>Talk Title: Small Teams making Big Games: Building ObservationJon McKellan will look at several case studies within the development of the multiple game-of-the-year nominated &quot;Observation&quot;. All through the lens of finding creative ways for a small team to make a big game.With over a decade of experience in the industry working with the likes of Creative Assembly and Rockstar North, and working on genre-defining games such as Alien: Isolation, Jon formed his own studio &#x27;No Code&#x27; with business partner Omar in 2015. Since then, Jon has been the studios creative director, writer, and lead artist on their two critically acclaimed and award-winning releases &quot;Stories Untold&quot; (2017) and &quot;Observation&quot; (2019). Having started out in User Interface design and Motion Graphics, Jon&#x27;s stories and vision merges his old role with his new, building exciting and surreal narrative experiences that center around UI driven technology. In 2016, Jon was named a &#x27;Breakthrough Brit&#x27; by BAFTA, and has gone on to create some of the sci-fi and horror genres most notable games of recent years.The night will end with free drinks and food giving you the chance to mingle with fellow game makers and a chance to chat with the keynote speakers.
