About this event
Designing the work-life that works for your life!
The way we work has changed. Hear from experts and mothers how to make it work when the systems in place have not.
The way we work and how we feel about it has changed:
- We want more flexibility: An HBR study showed that workers value flexibility above health benefits
- Mothers work and earn more: 70% of mothers with children under 18 are working, 75% full-time and 40% are the primary or sole earners
- The gig economy is on the rise: Contractors and freelancers will account for 43% of the workforce by 2020
- Remote work is on the rise: More than 8 million Americans work from home
- We still spend more time with our children: We spend more time with our children each day than parents in the 1960s
The Maternity Planner is hosting an evening to talk about the question that's always on our collective minds: how do we build a work life that works for our lives?
The answer may be different for each of us but how do we decide what we want, get the job we're looking for, and then make-it-all work!? And what happens when the job you thought you wanted turns out to be more hectic and demanding than you thought?!
Let's talk about the tools and resources you need to get what you need and learn from each other about the realities of making it work!
The event is co-sponsored by Two Birds and The Mom Project.
