Description

For the first time Women in Data SF will be broadcasting their August meetup live! Join us from wherever you are as we learn and practice effective data visualization design.

About the Speaker

This month we are so excited to be joined by data visualization expert and Tableau Zen Master Anya A'Hearn! Anya has been working for over 20 years in analytics, business intelligence and data visualization. She loves to apply product design methodology to develop data products based on user needs and goals, building dashboards and applications that are minimalist, beautiful, impactful and a call to action.

Anya founded a boutique "Data Viz Design" consulting company called DataBlick. Outside of helping her clients build stellar data products, Anya volunteers for a variety of initiatives includingVisualize No Malaria and of course supporting women in the data industry!

About the Event

Using Tableau dashboard examples for varying use cases and goals, this talk will focus on techniques such as adding empathy and calls to action to create engaging visualizations with impact.
