Designing and Facilitating Meetings Community of Practice Overview

Join us for a follow-up session to deepen your understanding and practice about what it means to design an experience that moves beyond a series of tasks or items to address and support the learning, growth, and development of a group you are working with.

The DFME Community of Practice will provide opportunities to:

  • Deepen your knowledge and frameworks for agenda design, whole person learning, cultivating a positive group dynamic, and developing effective teams
  • Reflect on your work designing and facilitating meetings and learn from the work of other facilitators
  • Make connections with new colleagues, and leave with a plan and approach for addressing some of the most pressing challenges in your work

This session will be delivered in a live, 3-hour interactive learning session conducted online in Zoom. Attend the live session with facilitators and fellow participants and gain new knowledge and skills to bring back to your own context. Participants receive electronic versions of all resources and tools.

We are intensely focused on humanizing our virtual spaces. We focus on interactivity and connection (these workshops are not webinars), frequent screen and body breaks, and attending to learning, practice, and healing in community with people around the world.

Pre-requisite

Participants must have previously participated in the National Equity Project’s Designing and Facilitating Meetings for Equity Course or Designing and Facilitating Meetings for Equity Institute.

Accessibility

We provide an advance draft of our slide deck 24 hours before the session and enable live transcription and closed captions during the live Zoom session. Our sessions are recorded (absent any technical difficulties) and can be accessed for up to 30 days after the course concludes.
