Interested in learning how to apply design thinking in a hands-on environment? Want to see how real strategists and HR leaders apply design thinking to solve challenges? Excited to gain exposure within the HR and hiring fields?
<A HREF="http://casecomps.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Casecomps</A> is hosting a free design thinking session in partnership with <A HREF="https://flatironschool.com/campuses/chicago" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Flatiron School Chicago</A> and <A HREF="http://welchpkg.com" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Welch Packaging</A> to teach foundational design thinking techniques to passionate data experts, UI/UX designers, and business strategists. Food and refreshments will be provided.
What you’ll do: Apply real design thinking techniques to help <A HREF="http://welchpkg.com" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Welch Packaging</A>, a regional leading box manufacturer serving clients throughout the country, reimagine it's hiring process for production associates to remain competitive within a tightening labor market. Participants will be broken into teams, walked through design thinking activities, and present solutions at the end of the event. Winning teams of the friendly competition will receive tours of <A HREF="https://mhubchicago.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">mHub</A>, Chicago’s physical product accelerator.
Schedule:

<LI>5:30 to 6pm: Check-in, network, & grab refreshments</LI>
<LI>6 to 6:15pm: Casecomps & challenge introduction</LI>
<LI>6:15 to 7:45pm: Design thinking activities</LI>
<LI>7:45 to 8pm: Presentations</LI>

Entrance instructions: Upon entering the building (515 N State St.), navigate directly to the elevators and go to the 12th floor. Signage will direct you where to go from there.
About the organizers: <A HREF="http://casecomps.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Casecomps</A> is a local Chicago startup focused on connecting professionals to employers through fun, creative challenges. <A HREF="https://flatironschool.com/campuses/chicago/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Flatiron School Chicago</A> helps passionate career changers build fundamental skillsets in data science, UX/UI design, and software engineering. 
The session will be led by Michael Kokot, an Accenture consultant and founder of Casecomps, and Flatiron School Chicago instructors.
