Celeste Thiesen is a seasoned business development professional, account manager, and problem solver with Shaw Contract, bringing 29 years of diverse experience in the building and design industry. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles as an Interior Designer, post-secondary educator at NAIT, and product representative, developing extensive expertise in the manufacturing, specification, distribution, and installation of both carpet and hard surface flooring solutions.
Known for her strategic approach to relationship management and solution-oriented thinking, Celeste specializes in business development, stakeholder engagement, and communications. Her comprehensive understanding of the built environment enables her to connect design vision with practical, high-performance flooring solutions that support the goals of architects, designers, contractors, and owners.
An active contributor to the industry, Celeste has served in executive leadership positions with the Interior Designers of Alberta (IDA), the Alberta Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), and the Edmonton Chapter of Construction Specifications Canada (CSC). Through these roles, she has helped advance professional development, industry collaboration, sustainable building practices, and advocacy within the design and construction community.
