BirdBrain Technologies'mission is to inspire deep and joyful learning in all students through creative robotics.Founded at Carnegie Mellon University in 2010, BirdBrain was created to promote gender equality and diversity in engineering and robotics. TheFinch Robotmakes coding tangible in many programming languages ranging from Kindergarten to College-level computer science. TheHummingbird Robotics Kitis comprised of lights, sensors and motors, allowing students to build a robot out ofanymaterials.Both of these products empower students to take ownership of their technical and creative skill sets and engage in flexible problem-solving activities. Hundreds of thousands of students have been impacted by our products worldwide.

<H2 CLASS="MsoNormal">Introduction to Hummingbird Robotics </H2>
In this hands on session you will design, build & program a robot with the Hummingbird Robotics Kit. Receive creative ideas and resources for use across your curriculum--whatever your setting. Discover how you can easily integrate robotics into any learning environment for ages 10 to 110. No experience necessary!
 
Please bring a laptop with <A HREF="http://hummingbirdkit.com/learning/installing-scratch" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">this software installed</A>. (Note: even if you already use Scratch, you will need to follow these directions to ensure Scratch connects to the Hummingbird.)

Developed at Carnegie Mellon University’s CREATE lab, the Hummingbird Robotics Kit enables open-ended and creative engineering and design projects. The Hummingbird is a kit comprised of lights, motors & sensors which allow students to program and build a robot out of any materials.
