About this event

his historical event always took place in May and was a celebration of the desert and community of Twentynine Palms, and included treasure hunts, pancake dinners (yes, dinner!), and live entertainment.

The 2024 Desert Rat Convention will begin at noon with a $5 entrance fee, with a focus on family-friendly, children-oriented events and experiences such as a treasure hunt, tours of the museum, rock painting, face painting, popcorn, vendors, and more! As the temperatures cool later in the day, there are local themed desert vendors, and a fun BBQ dinner and live entertainment.
