Deschutes Trails Coalition National Trails Day - Volunteer Opportunity

Join Deschutes Trails Coalition and our member groups for National Trails Day on June 1st, 2024, as we gather to celebrate and preserve the Rockpile Lake Trail in the Jefferson Wilderness. This event is an opportunity to give back to the outdoors and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts.

We'll start at 9 am with a brief orientation at the trailhead, where you'll meet our team and fellow volunteers to learn about the importance of maintaining this trail. From there, we'll embark on a day of trail maintenance, including tasks like brushing encroaching vegatation, improving tread, and pulling invasive weeds.

Whether you're experienced or new to outdoor volunteering, there's a role for everyone in this conservation effort.

After a morning of trail work, we'll meet at 2 pm for a social gathering at Crux Brewing. Here, you can relax with craft beers, food, and conversation with fellow volunteers. It's a great way to end the day!

Don't miss this opportunity to make a difference and help with the maintanance of the Rockpile Lake Trail. Join us on June 1st for National Trails Day!
