Dust off your big hats and seersucker suits, it's time for the 2018 Derby for a Cure! Mint juleps will be flowing and there will be plenty of prizes to go around at the different interactive games! Prizes will also be awarded to the best dressed male and female.  2018 marks the 7th Annual Derby for a Cure. This afternoon gathering brings everyone together to root for your favorite horses in the Kentucky Derby while raising money for <A HREF="http://jdrf.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">JDRF</A> and type 1 diabetes research.

Q: I'm coming! Where do I park?
<A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/theloopwestend/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Loop West End</A> is located at The Shops at West End near 394 and 100. There's a parking ramp nearby, so no need to search for street parking! 
Q: Since JDRF is a non-profit, can I deduct the ticket price on my taxes?
All contributions in excess of the per person cost of $25 per ticket are tax deductible as a gift to a charitable organization.
Q: What is JDRF/type 1 diabetes?
There are 1.25M children, adolescents, and adults in the U.S. who have type 1 diabetes (T1D) and face life-long, life-threatening complications from the disease. Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers, JDRF is the largest charitable supporter of type 1 diabetes research. The goal of JDRF is to improve the lives of every person affected by T1D by accelerating the progress of the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating and preventing T1D.
