An exciting opportunity to learn from key Optica journal editors about submitting to scientific journals and the peer-review process.

I﻿n this workshop the publication process of scientific journals will be covered by two excellent speakers: Professor Miles Padget and Dr Alison Taylor. Professor Padget is the current Kelvin Chair of Natural Philosophy at the University of Glasgow and also serves as an associate editor for Optica, his research is extensive and covers various optical areas. D﻿r Alison Taylor is the executive editor for Optica and has a huge amount of experience in editing for journals along with her background in optics, Dr Taylor has served as the executive editor since 2014.T﻿hese expert speakers provide an excellent opporutunity to learn about about how submitting papers to scientific journals works including the peer-review process, the structure of scientific journals and advice on how to write great abstracts for papers.This workshop is free and refreshments will be provided, w﻿e hope to see you there!
