If you’re totally new to the topic, you’ll want to get familiar. We have <a href="https://thenerdclub.ca/metaverse/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">curated links to foundational information</a> in several formats so pick your favourite way to consume knowledge and get your nerd game on.Julie Smithson will talk to us about what the “metaverse” is (spoiler: it’s not just one thing), how we need to rethink the way we learn, design, and connect, and major implications for society, communities, and people. Then she’ll take us into the metaverse with a visit to the XR Women Museum. After Julie’s talk, we’ll revisit the conversation around our hopes, dreams and fears. Did they change? Finally, we will all have an opportunity to meet the experts and try it out.
