About Our Speaker:

KIRSTEN PALLADINO is a prominent figure in the wedding industry, particularly known for her advocacy and work within the LGBTQ+ community. She is a multi-award-winning entrepreneurial educator, writer, editor, and international speaker. Kirsten, who identifies as a queer nonbinary femme, has over 23 years of experience in the media industry and 13 years in the wedding space.


Along with her spouse, Maria (Mo), Kirsten co-founded Equally Wed in 2010, which is the world’s leading LGBTQ+ wedding website. As the editor-in-chief, she has been instrumental in providing a platform for LGBTQ+ couples to plan their weddings. Kirsten also created Equally Wed Pro, a digital LGBTQ+ inclusive certification course and educational platform for wedding and event professionals.


She is the author of “Equally Wed: The Ultimate Guide to Planning Your LGBTQ+ Wedding,” the first and only gender-neutral wedding planning book for LGBTQ+ couples, published by Seal Press.


In spring 2023, Kirsten and her spouse launched Equally Inclusive, a members-only education platform aimed at helping wedding and event professionals become more inclusive and affirming of all marginalized communities.


Kirsten’s expertise and influence extend beyond her websites and books. She has been featured in and contributed to numerous prestigious publications and media outlets, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Forbes, and many others. She is also a recurring guest on major news networks like CNN, NPR, and CBS, and speaks at various wedding and event conferences globally.


Her dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion is further demonstrated through her role as the DEI director of WIPA’s Atlanta chapter and as an advisor to The Knot Worldwide’s Fellowship for Change program.


Kirsten’s work has significantly impacted the wedding industry, making it more inclusive and affirming for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. Her efforts continue to inspire and educate others on the importance of equality and representation in all aspects of life, including love and marriage.
