E4 Carolinas is the Carolinas' energy trade association. Members are from all sectors of the energy industry. Some are large and established while others are small, early stage companies. Some are directly engaged in energy production and infrastructure industries while others provide valuable services and supplies. Blockchain Technology (a mystery for most) is rapidly gaining attention in the energy industry.  Blockchain’s ability to automate processes and manage a shared, immutable, and auditable record of transactions has game-changing applications for the energy industry, which, by nature, is a creature of complex, multi-party transactions and requires the processing and coordination of an enormous amount of data.  Understanding the basics of blockchain is a must for those in the industry (and for businesses generally).
