Demo Class for Oil Printing

The Oil Printing photographic process uses lithographic ink and the magic of chemistry to create unique, expressive images. It is considered a ‘control process’ since the artist has extraordinary control over the final image, including considerable post-inking modifications. This session will be a working introduction to the oil printing process. It will include an overview discussion of the history, equipment, materials, workflow, and technique for the process. Students will see the process demonstrated by an experienced practitioner. Questions are encouraged, and hands-on participation will be included as feasible.
