About this event

In this information session, you will:

- get a general understanding of what dementia is

- learn the most common type of dementia

- learn obstacles specific to dementia within the intellectually and developmentally disabled population

- focus on adopting a mindset to create a dementia-friendly and inclusive community

- learn tips for communicating with people with dementia

- choose an action step that you will take as part of becoming a Dementia Friend


This session is open to everyone but will include a special emphasis on the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled in addition to the general Dementia Friends information.
