Part 1: Caregiving Today: It's a Balancing Act!

Caregivers can exemplify compassion and nurturing toward others while often failing to take careof themselves. If you are a caregiver, finding value in your role and knowing your limitations canbe critical to your success. Research shows that 65% of caregivers suffer from a major healthevent before the person who is receiving care. Becoming educated and knowledgeable about thejourney ahead can make all the difference.

Part 2: Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors

Provides participants with a four-step model to address behavioral aspects of dementia.

The program details the model & then applies it to some of the most common behaviors

associated with the disease.
