Restoration, Conservation and Recreation Join the National Parks Conservation Association and the National Park Service at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area to learn about restoration and conservation projects in Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and adjacent Minsi Lake Corridor. The project will restore the natural function of surface water and groundwater, improve stream quality, create high-functioning wetlands, and restore native vegetation. The County hired Simone Collins Landscape Architecture with RES to complete the greenway and stewardship plan, with assistance from partnering organizations, stakeholders, and committees. The plan will address conservation of sensitive environmental habitats and the compatibility of outdoor recreation. A draft plan which is near completion will include recommendations for an interconnected system of passive recreation, infrastructure and conservation initiatives, all linked by a system of trails that allows access throughout the Corridor.
