The DeKalb Lawyers Association was formed in DeKalb County, Georgia in 1984 to

promote the growth and development of minority attorneys and to strengthen the social and

economic fiber of the community. Since our inception, we have evolved into a strong

multicultural organization. Our membership consists of attorneys, judges and other federal,

state and local elected and appointed officials.

Each year we host the DeKalb Lawyers Association Annual Scholarship Breakfast. Our

scholarship has been permanently named the “Donald L. Hollowell Legacy Award,” in honor

of his great work and many years of service as a civil rights attorney.
