The Defense Entrepreneurs Forum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We inspire, connect and empower people to promote a culture of innovation in the U.S. national security community by convening events, forging partnerships and delivering tangible solutions.

Defense Entrepreneurs Forum

DEFx Washington DC (DEFxDC) is a day-long DEF event that, this year, will take place on 13 July 2018 at  Georgetown University. DEFxDC is one of DEF’s flagship events. Each of the previous three iterations tapped into the D.C. area’s national security community to bring 80-100 people together for a great day of learning, discussion, designing and more. We are excited to partner with the Center for Security Studies, which is helping support this day-long event!
This year’s theme is “Innovating Change: From Design Thinking to Designing Policy.” We will address challenges and opportunities facing the national security policy community and show conference participants how to design and implement through solutions. The event is open to all, civilian or military, interested in shaping the defense and security conversation.

The mission of DEF is to inspire, connect and empower people committed to national security through convening events, forging partnerships and delivery of tangible solutions. Some of the ways the connections happen include monthly gatherings, periodic DEFx events, an annual conference, and ongoing collaboration via Slack, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Why should I register? Taking the couple minutes it takes to register helps the local DEF team to better prepare the planned space for everyone who plans on attending. Thanks in advance!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking may be available, but further details will be provided. Using a ride share service is always a safe bet!
