Weather

Highs in upper 60's with sunshine, though it will likely be breezy and cooler on the coast. Warm layers and a rain jacket are recommended. Don't forget sunscreen. Look here.

Provisions

N/A. This is a self-supported event. You must bring all food, tools, cooking equipment, camp gear, supplies, and accessories for two nights under the stars. Potable water is availble at both campgrounds. We will pass through several towns with markets, cafes, bakeries, etc. We will ride into town on Saturday and Sunday morning. Coffee provided by Pretty Great.

Safety

Safety is the number one priority. The Seashore is remote and cell service is spotty. We will always ride in control, call out obstacles, and practice good group riding etiquette. Please bring lights, hi-vis, and tell friends/family where you're going.

Full Disclosure

This is a beautiful but challenging trip best suited to advanced bike campers riding dirt-oriented bikes (mtb is recommended). You should feel confident riding local fire roads, packing supplies and food for two full days and nights, and have the proper equipment to do so safely. This is a good time to double-check your equipment and get a tune-up from your local bike shop. Please bring a bike lock, too.

We look forward to sharing a beautiful weekend with you at the edge of the world. Please reach out to hello@slugbicycles.com with any questions. Don't forget your camera and swim attire. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to PRNSA.
