Whether you're experiencing a life transition, recovery, grief, or the ordinary stress of modern life, this is for you. Wren will bring her expertise in Iyengar-informed Hatha, Mindfulness Meditation, East-West Psychology, and Somatic Trauma Healing to you through:

  • Instruction focusing on nervous system regulation and experiential somatic exercises
  • A few carefully sequenced, structured restorative postures with personalized, hands-on attention given to your prop set up
  • Expert verbal guidance in a silent (music-free) environment, encouraging deeper present moment awareness
  • Closing talking circle, with the opportunity to ask questions

Facilitator Bio:

A local since birth, Wren's gobsmacked daily by the beauty of the living world surrounding us. She is a perpetual beginner who believes in the power of the awkward. A visual artist, mother, and healer, Wren has a background in east/west psychology, mindfulness meditation, and hatha yoga with a strong Iyengar influence.

Wren's roots in contemplative practice were formally established at fourteen, privately devouring Richard Hittleman’s 28-day Yoga Plan of 1980 and practicing silent vipassana retreat with Shinzen Young. Wren has lived at two spiritual retreat centers: Shambhala Mountain in the Colorado Rockies and Mount Madonna Yoga Center in the Santa Cruz Mountains. She has illustrated six books for Shambhala Publications including Yoga Myths and Teaching Yoga with Intention by Judith Hanson-Lasater.

Over the last 20+years, she has taught in studios, hospitals, museums, schools, community centers and teacher trainings. Her purpose is to relieve suffering, nurture understanding, and inspire creativity. Her classes balance formal learning, loose play, and deep rest. She loves fostering genuine connections with humans of all ages.💖
