Deep Rest Practices
We’re living in a world of record stress and burnout, where it’s hard to pause, difficult to relax, and sometimes impossible to sleep well. Of course, this negatively impacts our mood, emotions, cognitive abilities, and work performance.
But, as with mindfulness before, neuroscientists are now studying 2,500-year-old deep rest protocols like Yoga Nidra and finding them remarkably effective.
What We'll Explore
In this Practice Lab, we'll review Yoga Nidra and share examples of additional deep rest practices utilizing the "Seven Types of Rest" framework introduced by Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith.
We'll share a guided experience of Dr. Andrew Huberman’s Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR) and chart a course to continue our work in the "My Practice Community" forum and with future labs.
