Deep Thought the Lyricist was introduced to the community of creatives in Chattanooga through his March 8 performance in the International Women’s Day Celebration Through the Arts event, co-sponsored by Rhyme N Chatt and Culture Chatt. He was so impressed by the support the city shows the poetic community that he promised to return. This weekend of events including a performance on May10 and workshop and open mic on May 11 serves as his opportunity to return to our city and spend more time with our creatives.

BIO

Arsenio Sorrell is an artist, actor and healthcare professional residing in Wisconsin. Known on his social media as “Deep Thought The Lyricist,” Arsenio has a popular following for his work. He considers himself a ‘lyrical connoisseur’ which is probably the reason his writing is so strong. He is the 2-time Floetry Poetry Sensual Slam Champion, the Purple Poetry Slam Finalist, an Improv Poetry 24 Hour Prompt Slam Finalist, and a member of the Poetry Club. Arsenio has also been featured on platforms virtually and performs for in-person events in several states across the U.S.

DJ Diego will be providing music during the open mic session to help set the mood for this fun, community friendly event.
