The Philadelphia Citizen, a nonprofit, non-partisan media organization has a dual mission: to provide deeply reported journalism that emphasizes solutions that can move our region forward, and to actively reignite citizenship in and around Philadelphia.We seek to identify our innovators, call out those who stand in the way of progress and shine a light on the next generation of Philly leadership—all while giving Philadelphians the interactive tools they need to become more involved, engaged citizens.

Join The Philadelphia Citizen, Changing The Conversation Together (CTC), Better Civics, Young Involved Philadelphia, and PA Youth Vote for a storytelling workshop and training on deep canvassing, to help get out the vote in North Philly this summer and fall. First, CTC will delve into how its method of deep canvassing has turned nonvoters into voters over the last few elections with the help of volunteers like you. Then, they&#x27;ll guide you in developing your voting story to take door to door in group outings from late June through the November general election.Together, we can grow turnout among our fellow citizens to create real change in Philadelphia. What Is Deep Canvassing?Deep canvassing is the most effective form of voter persuasion that’s ever been measured. It is a way to engage voters emotionally, through 10 to 15 minute conversations and listening sessions that have a lasting impact on voter behavior.Why It&#x27;s ImportantPA is a linchpin in the coming midterms, which could have a profound impact on our country. But far too many people will sit this election out. This event will help you craft your own story to prepare you to join us this summer and fall as we go door to door, forging personal bonds through a deep-canvassing method that&#x27;s proven to motivate voters and reconnect them with democracy. <h3></h3><h3>CTC&#x27;s next deep canvas following this session is on June 26th. Those who attend June 21st can sign up online or at the workshop.</h3>
