DECISION HEIGHT

PenArts is a local nonprofit that uses theatrical arts to bring all members of Pensacola together. We aim to help unify our community as we listen and learn from each other. We also produce first-run events that have never been presented in Pensacola. We respect and foster local artists so that they can share and be compensated for their talents without having to leave Pensacola. We teach youth through theatrical arts in an effort to: open doors to new ideas; improve literacy, collaborative, and verbal skills; provide a safe creative outlet; and build self-esteem. We are all volunteers.

DECISION HEIGHT is a play that tells the tale of six brave women who offered their flying skills in support of their country in 1943-1944.

<p>In WWII, over 1,100 Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) flew wingtip to wingtip with their male counterparts. Their contribution to the United States of America will be shared as PenArts presents, for the first-time-in-Pensacola, DECISION HEIGHT. It is a play that tells the story about six volunteers in the WASP Program. In honor of Women's History Month and with gratitude for our Women in the Military, both currently active and veterans, at each performance we will honor any current Women in the Military or Women Veterans in the audience.</p>
