What is the Death Cafe?

Death is a part of life. Life is a part of death. The Death Cafe is an in-person gathering where folks come together to share stories, thoughts, and laughs about all things mortality in a comfortable, relaxed setting with tea, coffee and cake.

By increasing our awareness of and comfort with death we hope to be able to take better care of our own lives and better respond to death when it makes its invevitable appearance in our lives or those of our loved ones.

No pressure, no agenda—just honest conversation and great company. Come curious, leave with new perspectives.
