Dear Ella

A vocal-led trio, performing folk, jazz, and blues, Dear Ella features Ann Percival: guitar, ukulele, and snare; Mary Witt: Bass; and Annie Patterson: Banjo, guitar, cajón, and snare. They are known for their powerful three-part harmonies and uplifting songs about social justice, love, and hope.

The band's name, "Dear Ella", is an homage, a thank you, and love letter to the iconic vocalist and band leader Ella Fitzgerald as well as the inspiring civil rights activist Ella Baker. The fabulous Ella Jenkins (talented musician, actress & children's performer) is also on the list of "Dear Ella"s. The Dear Ella trio encourages us all to honor all women who have inspired us to stand for justice, sing our truths, and be the best selves we can be.

The group will perform in the lovely Community Gallery at Trinity United Methodist Church.
