Medical Training

We offer basic classes on how to apply tourniquets, control bleeding, and more. This is not a certified first aid course, but it is for lay-people who wish to just have basic information on how to help in an emergency while you wait for the EMTs.

<p>De-escalation training topics:</p><ul><li>Early identification: Recognizing signs of agitation and intervening early</li><li>Conflict resolution: Using negotiation and mediation to address the underlying drivers of conflict</li><li>Empathy: Being nonjudgmental and trying to understand the other person's feelings</li><li>Personal space: Allowing space to show respect and decrease anxiety</li><li>Boundaries: Setting clear guidelines for what is acceptable</li><li>Calmness: Remaining calm and not letting your own emotions impact you</li></ul><p>Benefits of de-escalation training:</p><ul><li>Reducing stress</li><li>Improving morale</li><li>Improving communication</li><li>Improving retention</li><li>Improving productivity</li><li>Improving customer retention</li><li>Preventing violent or aggressive incidents</li><li>Promoting a safer environment</li></ul>
