DDC Mentoring Program Information Session

As the City's primary capital construction project manager, the New York City Department of Design and Construction builds many of the civic facilities New Yorkers use every day. We provide communities with new or renovated structures such as firehouses, libraries, police precincts, courthouses, senior centers and more.Our work doesn't stop at buildings- we also design and build vital roadway, water main, sewer and pedestrian ramp projects. Infrastructure that is essential to a healthy and resilient city.

The Department of Design and Construction (DDC) is holding a  Information Session Series for its Mentoring Program.

DDC’s Office of Diversity and Industry Relations (ODIR) develops, implements, and monitors innovative policies and procedures to promote compliance with the City’s M/WBE Program. Central to our mission is our belief that a diverse pool of vendors can serve as a major engine of economic opportunity to significantly enhance the prosperity and vitality of all communities in New York City.One of our new initiatives is the DDC Mentoring Program, which is being developed in partnership with NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS). When the program launches, it will provide technical support for enrolled M/WBEs and small businesses in construction, as well as the opportunity to bid on contracts estimated at up to $1.5. million (increases to $3 million for suitable participants enrolled in the Graduate Mentoring Program with continued support from experienced construction management mentors). DDC anticipates opening enrollment for the Mentoring Program this Fall 2021.
