The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) team and the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC) will host a DCOI Technology Resources Summit on November 20, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at GSA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Margie Graves, Acting U.S. Chief Information Officer, will open the event with a Visionary Keynote, and there will be three panel discussions that focus on data center optimization and transformation to remote compute environments such as cloud and shared service providers.

GSA DCOI and ATARC welcome Federal government Information Technology (IT), procurement and data center professionals to interact with 30 data center support vendors for information exchange and mini-consultations. These companies will provide resources, products and solutions for data center optimization, operations, migration, connectivity and cloud solutions that can be implemented in alignment with Data Center Optimization Initiative Memorandum (M-16-19).

Who*: Attendees will be Federal Government IT, Procurement and Data Center professionals.

Booths will be set up for Non-Federal professionals and industry representatives from data center support companies, specifically in the areas of DCIM, energy efficiency, containment, migration support, product rationalization and commercial data center providers.

*The event is not limited to Federal employees.

GSA Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) PMO and ATARC

The Office of Government-wide Policy (OGP) is the Managing Partner for OMB’s Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI). In the role of Managing Partner, OGP 's DCOI PMO serves as a DCOI resource to help agencies implement optimization plans by facilitating participation in data center shared services, sharing best practices and information about tools used to improve data center efficiency, and supporting agencies as they report on progress toward FITARA goals.

The Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC) is a a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a collaborative forum for Federal government (Intel, DoD & Civilian), academia and industry to resolve emerging technology challenges. ATARC introduces innovative technologies and ideas from academic research labs to the Federal government and private industry.
