DC and VA Special Libraries Association Family Friendly Networking Event
Join the Washington DC & Virginia Chapter of the Special Libraries Association for a family friendly networking event at Alcova Heights Park Shelter #2. This is an opportunity for parents and grand-parents who may not normally make our social networking events to have a chance to meet and network with other librarians in the DMV. All are welcome to attend.
We will provide hot dogs/hamburgers, drinks and some games, but encourage participants to bring some snacks, deserts, games, and sports equipment to share. If you are bringing a snack or desert we ask you to be conscientious of nut allergies.
Schedule:
- 12 PM: Arrival & Snacks
- 12:30 PM: Crafts/Playtime/Networking
- 3 PM: Story time
- 4 PM: Say our goodbyes
We have the space reserved from noon until four, and you are welcome to stay the whole time or come when you can.
The cost of the event is to help cover the rental of the shelter and provide hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and some other items.
Please contact Jonathan Fiencke (fiencke@gmail.com) with any questions.
