Join us on Saturday, May 18th for an exciting afternoon to connect and hear from other LEE members passionate about creating positive change in our nation's Capitol.

Expand your network and gain insights into careers in policy and advocacy. Hear from local and national leaders as they discuss the opportunities and experiences that helped them grow their careers in the policy space and how you can do the same. From navigating politics in the District to crafting impactful legislation at the city, state, and federal level—our panel will cover it all! Whether you’re considering a pivot to policy and advocacy work or you’re ready to expand your skills and network, this is the event for you.

Meet the Panelists:

  • Roberto Adrian Fierro - Roberto is the Senior Director of Government Relations and Public Policy at Live Nation. He is also a former teacher and Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) alum.
  • Josephine Amusa - Josephine is a Policy Advisor for Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, where she manages issues related to energy and the environment. She is a Teach for America alum.
  • Brandon Best - Brandon currently serves as the Ward 6 Representative on the DC State Board of Education. He previously managed policy and advocacy efforts at the KIPP Foundation.
  • Cristina Villa - Cristina is an Advisor in The Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs (OIEA) at the U.S. Department of the Interior. She is an alum of both CHCI and Public Allies.
