Purpose: The District of Columbia Department of Health (DC Health) and the Public Health Integrated Advisory Committee (PHIAC) are holding a public hearing to get the community’s input on the proposed work plan of the District of Columbia Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant (PHHSBG) for (year needed). The PHHSBG is granted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and supports states in addressing gaps in resources for strategies to improve health outcomes related to leading health indicators. This hearing is an opportunity for citizens to present their views concerning the proposed work plan and other DC Health initatives.

The hearing is open to all members of the community, including community organizations and District residents. Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts on the proposed work plan as well as suggestions on future priority areas.
