Here at DC Decades we're thrilled about our partnership with the Metropolitan Police Department to host an event centered around Officer Friendly. Our aim is to unite the community and MPD in a positive and meaningful way, fostering stronger relationships with those who serve and protect our community. We will have MPD as well as MPD recruiters on site to inspire community members to consider a career in policing our community and being a bridge to humanize the police. Plus, we're excited to feature and showcase local DC small businesses as vendors at the event. DCHFA will be a featured highlight at the event, providing resources and expertise to educate and encourage attendees to pursue homeownership opportunities and more. The University of the District of Columbia will also host an admissions table to encourage enrollment. We believe this event has the potential to cultivate greater understanding and collaboration between law enforcement and the community, and we're eager to work together to make it a resounding success.
