The purpose of this consultation process is to provide support to participants trained in the clinical DC: 0-5 trainings in MA, as they begin to familiarize themselves with and implement components of the DC: 0-5 Diagnostic and Classification Manual. Through case-based webinars, the consultants will offer trainees opportunities to apply the principles in the DC: 0-5 manual to actual clinical situations they (or their colleagues) are encountering in their agency settings.
We received positive data and feedback in June 2021 from a project sponsored by MassHealth to roll out DC: 0-5 reflective case consultation statewide, that reflective case consultation for the DC: 0-5 is an essential follow-up to the clinical training. Results showed an 80% increase for all participants in confidence on using all 5 Axis that this tool offers.
As result of current funding, we will be able to provide 8 Reflective Case Consultation sessions and open those sessions up to previously trained professionals, who are looking for a supportive environment to enhance their knowledge and confidence in using the DC: 0-5.
