This 2 day workshop will acquaint participants with the STEPS skills and social emotional learning curriculum used in schools.

This event is for school-based personnel.This workshop will:<ul><li>Present DBT Life Skills and how/when to apply these skills</li><li>Provide an overview of the STEPS Program, based on DBT Life Skills, presently being used in schools</li></ul>About the STEPS Program:<ul><li>Highly successful in addressing emotional and behavior dysregulation</li><li>Provides both short-term relief from trauma symptoms and long-term improvements in overall mental health and functioning</li><li>Builds strong coping strategies and decision-making skills</li><li>Practical and applicable to a wide range of life experiences</li></ul>This event is 2 days:<ul><li>Thursday July 23, 9am - 3pm</li><li>Friday July 24, 9am - 3pm</li><li>Lunch will be provided</li></ul>Parking: Because parking spaces at the Christian Psychological Center are limited, participants without mobility impairment should park in the Second Presbyterian Church parking lot located at 4055 Poplar Avenue. This parking lot backs up to the parking lot of CPC.
